Okay I'm trying to transfer a lot of files (just regular picture, audio, text files) from one computer to another and I'm using a USB 2.0 Micro Drive to do it. 1GB. And I've been able to put quite a few files on there, but now when I try it gives me the error message: Cannot copy (filename): The directory or file cannot be created. And when I go to the drive I can't rename them either, it gives me exactly the same error message, except it says I cannot rename, rather than copy. And I've checked, the drive is no way near being full. There's still like 800MBs left. Help? Please and thank you in advance.

I suggest you try putting in in an other USB port. Restart the PC. The drive its self and or data on it could be or get damaged if you did not properly remove it by using the safety removal hardware icon. NOTE: That you may not have to use this icon if you have the drive set so it is away safe to remove.

Did you try it on an other PC that will help determine if it is the drive or PC. If it is the drive you can search or have someone else search for a repair software on the Internet. I have seen a few that say they can repair a USB flash drive. But you will lose all data on it. That's why it is best never to keep important data or data you do not wish to lose on a flash drive without having an other copy of it on a PC.

I suggest you try a few of these things above and add some details to your question. I will come back later and edit my post. Or someone else could come up with a better answer them me. Perhaps you already tried a few things some extra details may help.

Yes and its also possible the Flash Drive itself could be broken? If you do searches for your Flash Drives name maybe other people are having problems with it. But almost all Flash Drives cause problems.

Perhaps you could use winzip to copy the files on your computer first. It may be the sheer number of files is messing up the tranfer.

Right-click it and re-initialize it. Flash memory has a tendency to hiccup.
