There are so many things 2 do out there on the world 2 hav fun! If someone is in the hospital, then buy them a gift that they can use then! I watch CNN. Watching the world news makes me feel that my problems are so small and that I am blessed to be alive.
With all the problems in the Middle East, hunger in Africa, and Americans without homes in New Orleans, my life seems so pretty and wonderful. I always wonder how many people in the world would give anything to be where I am at in life and my depression (self-pity) goes away.

Call a friend, do some yoga, watch a favorite movie (with a happy ending), cook a meal I enjoy, read a good book, make or build something creative, go for a walk in the woods, play fetch with my cat.

Go watch my little boy sleep. Eat 1/2 lb of gummy bears and watch Mony Python's Flying Circus or Looney Tunes on DVD. (Masturbate or have sex with my hubby. Sorry, I know it's uncouth, but a little release goes a long way.) Drink a cup of hot tea. Go to the bookstore and socialize with total strangers.

Always put on music that you like - it really helps.
Aromatherapy works wonders - check out the scents at your local stores - most scents say what they are good for.
Believe it or not, walking or exercising (even though you don't feel like it) helps. Makes you feel better.

Surf the net, chat with friends, watch a movie or just leave the depression there and do nothing with it thus bottling it up...
