I think Americans should face the facts and just embrace the fact that the US will soon be a Latino nation. Spanish should be a required class in all of our schools and all signs and advertising should have Spanish and english text.

In the long run this will be good for the US and the rest of the Americas.

First thing that needs to be done is to secure the border, build a fence get the national guard down there and i don't mean only 6,000 unarmed troops...there needs to be at least 20,000 troops that are definantly armed and/or a fence. After that is done than we can talk about what to do with the 12+ million illegals that are here.

An unsecure border is definantly a big problem...think about it. All the illegals that are here are mainly from Mexico, If they are here and they are working that means they either 1. are working under the table without paying taxes or 2. they are using someone elses social security number....THATS A FELONY. They should go to prison, but the feds aren't doing there job cracking down on that!!! on top of that, drug smugglers are free to cross the border at will with no wall. And what about the illegal gang bangers, the ones that are terrorizing the streets in L.A and other citizens...these illegals are killing our citiens, robbing our stores, commiting major crimes and over crowding our prisons...imagine if we didn't have to spend all that money (which is billions a year) then maybe we could get some streets repaired.

Oh and this country wasn't built on illegal immigrants...it was built on "LEGAL IMMIGRANTS" as in... a few hundred thousand from Phillipnes, few hundred thousand from South Africa, India, etc etc. ...NOT 12+ MILLION from Mexico.

For those who say we all came from immigrants....

Go tell the Native American's they are immigrants.
Go tell blacks (African American) they came from immigrants....there ancestors came here against their will.
and what about Cubans who are refugees...all they have to do is make it here and we give them asilent (hope i spelt that right)

sorry to rant on, hopefully that clarifies things.

oh and I am not racist, i am NOT anti-illegal immigration....

I AM PRO-LEGAL IMMIGRATION.

I am a Tejano. My great-grand relatives that lived during the 1700's came to Tejas and helped pioneer the "wild land". They fought several native nations and were given large land grants from Spain, later by France, then Mexico ( President Santa Anna), finally by Sam Houston when they fought for the independence of Tejas. Since Santa Anna was a "Mason" as were Sam Houston and a large number of his " Freedom Fighters" who were American Soldiers from the United States. Santa Anna gave Sam Houston all of the western half of the area we now call the USA as a favor of Mason brother to Mason Brother.

As for today! Remember how a man named Adolf Hitler came to power? He said that all of Germanie's problems were caused by the Jews! Are Mexicans the New Problem?
The Berlin Wall came down but now we have the RIO WALL and that will not come down until the young tell the old; We have had enough.

AS for our question I hate the fact that WW1 and WW2 was a waste of human lives, why? because we still have people who think they are the Master Race!!!

I have to begin by saying I am not a racist. I believe we should be a whole lot more selective on who we let into our country. I believe that America has let her hype go to her head and we are headed for disaster. We don't need the indigent from other countries. Yes, America is the land of opportunity, but not at the cost of her own citizen's. I am glad we are a compassionate nation. We still need to let other countries deal with their own problems. Lend a helping hand? Yes, but not at the expense of our own. We have ended up being the butt of the world's jokes. This country is supposed to be a democracy, the people running the government. That hasn't happened for way too long. It is getting time to change politics, before America is taken over. Great question. Thanks.

To leave your home, family, friends, neighbourhood, culture & country is a very big thing; there must have been some horrendous circumstances to make anyone an immigrant/refugee. Try to understand and even help out in some way ... he may be support a big extended family back home.

~~The construction of another wall, "is stupidity, it is useless, it is an excessive expense."

It is a very bad sign that doesn’t speak well of a country that prides itself as being democratic, that prides itself as being a nation of migrants. To us that wall is a verguenza [shame, dishonor], to us, in the united relationship between Mexico and the United States, a wall of such magnitude should not exist.

Still—don’t worry. When it comes to U.S. immigration legislation, the Mexican government moves faster than ours…~~

my opinion is that when christopher columbus came to america, he was an immagrant. he didnt have to have a green card. he didnt even have to learn how to speak native american languages. after all they were the real americans. but he didnt have to speak their languages. he didnt have to change his ways for them. so y should immagrants have to do that stuff too? i think people should be able to worship what ever they want, speak what ever language they want, and come to this country freely. y should they. when most of our relatives came here they didnt have to have a green card. and if i moved to mexico i wouldnt speak spanish. i would speak english. i would sing the national anthem in english. i would pray in english. why should they have to change their lives in the land of the free?
