Our planet has the shape it does because of the heat energy contained within. Were our planet the shape of a cube, and were enough heat energy added to that mass, it would form into the shape of a sphere.

The heat energy that forms our planet into the shape of a sphere does so through the means of gravity. There is a universal distribution of this force throughout our planet. This force attracts the mass on one side of our planet to the mass on the other side. It also attracts the heat energy within our planet toward its core. If this did not happen, our planet would be almost the same temperature throughout.

Hi. All objects tend to become spherical as they get larger due to everything trying to fall to the center of gravity. If they spin on their axis the equator tends to bulge due to centrifugal force and this bulge is exaggerated due to the surface being further from the center of mass. Imagine a cubical Earth. The points of the cube would be enormous mountains and stuff would fall down the mountainside. Eventually it would resemble a sphere.

It's not. It only looks like it's a sphere. Imagine the world as you've seen it in any picture taken from space. See the oceans? Good. Now, metaly REMOVE ALL water bodies (oceans, lakes) and what do you get? Exactly, a jagged land-mass with mighty high places (continents) and terribly deep valleys (oceans).

There you go, its not a sphere.

It is not really a sphere, a bit oval in fact. Due to gravity and pull from other celestial bodies.

Think of it like a giant baseball. How well could you play with a square cube. They do not fly very well and stay on their path. Or maybe the corners just broke off one time long before we were here. Or God just likes a round shape. Like anyone really knows why
