Tearing is an important part of the lubrication system that helps keep eyes moist and healthy. But tears associated with emotional responses and crying, known as psychogenic tears, are much harder to understand. And there is some disagreement in the scientific community about why humans, above all other living creatures, have the need to engage in crying at all.
Some scientific evidence even indicates that the very composition of tears changes depending on whether tears result from irritation such as wind, or from crying due to an emotion such as sadness.
The simplest scientific explanations tend to link crying and tears to the earliest development of human infants, who use this form of emotional expression so that needs will be met and comfort will be offered.

Crying is a sign of weakness. It surely does help getting more headaches and mood offs.
I have problem of crying for little things. The minute I get hurt, my eyes have poured down streams of tears already. I just cannot stop them. I try to sincerely, but they don't stop. It looks as if I am crying over stupid things but actually I am just little bit hurt thats it. Don't pay attention and you don't need to console this group of cry babies. The more you talk nice the more they cry over silly things.

Emotions build up, and being human it is healthy to experience all emotions, especially ones that make you sad and cry. Some people cry more than others, but it is a healthy way to release sadness, anger and even happiness.

crying is healthy
it is suggested that people need to cry to release the tension or frustration or the hurt, etc
when you suppress it you could end up having a mental problem

I think if you wanted the science it would have to do with salt, because there is alot of salt in your tears, so therotical (if that's a word) when you are sad salt is produced in your body, and you need to elimitate it.
I know it's complete madness, but that's what hte world's coming to, so, if ya can't beat um, join um.

Tears are cleansing emotionally as well as physically. Have you ever noticed that you are really sleepy after a good cry? That is your body's way of replenishing itself.
