No, the only the thing the US should do is to push a strong multinational force that will actually disarm Hezbollah. But the first thing we should do is watch Israel crush Hezbollah. Their response is not overblown. They were attacked and they continue to be attacked everyday. The Israelis drop leaflets warning residents to leave before they attack, which is more than any other country does, especially Hezbollah. If Hezbollah is not crushed, then we will be right back here in a couple of years.

Israel doesn't need any help (other than weapon shipments) until they are ready for NATO (or whoever) to do what the UN and Lebanon were obligated to do for the last six years.

Keep in mind that Hezbollah was using a HOSPITAL as a HQ...

Us is already giving plenty of help to Israel in its efforts of state terrorism in killing innocent civilians and children apart from destroying the entire infrastructure of Lebanon.

We already do. We've rush planes full of weapons to Israel (via Scotland which the Scots are not too happy about). We hope Israel wins swiftly since their enemy Hezbollah is an Iranian puppet.

We already are. Israel is the only ally the US has in the Middle East. They are fighting the terrorists who attacked us on 9-11.

I don't really understand your question. I think the U.S. has the power to stop the war, but chooses not to. I think Isreal is out of line; too much force and destruction for the abduction of two soldiers. Prior administrations have not been so pro-Isreal, unfortunately the Bush administration is.
