So my best friend hasn't had her period in about 8 weeks now. She's damn sure she isn't pregnant. Besides stress, what could cause this? Please give me serious answers only....I love this girl and am concerned for her well-being.

it sounds like you are a teenager, so your best friend probably is too? usually in the first two years of starting your period, they will be irregular. which she shouldnt worry about. but she could have poly cystic ovarian sydrome, which you can look up on the internet, but the symptoms for that are weight gain, acne, excessive facial hair, and a couple of other things. But if she is really worried about it, then she should tell her mom if she already hasnt, and then she should go to a gynecologist. Your a great friend for looking out for her!

I would recommend her going to the doctor to take a pregnancy test just in case and just talking to them about her situation.
If she took a home test they can be wrong and she could just be in denial.
Diet and stress are two things that I know of that can effect periods, but she really should go to the doctor. Maybe even have a pap

ok yeah stress, diet and just being irregular. take a pregnancy test i suggest first response they're really easy to use and fast. take more than just one to be sure. if she's still flippin out go to a doctor and get them to test her. go to a planned parenthood tell them you dont have insurance and they should do it for free or really cheap she doesnt have to tell her parents if she doesnt want to i believe.... depending on her age i think im not sure. but damn .... 8 wks? that 2 friggin months. hopefully she's just irregular. good luck

Is she slim? Because it could be her low body fat, if she is. Changes in diet or surgery could also mess it up.
