Best of all Hitchcock movies? What's your vote?

I've seen a lot of Al's movies and used to watch his TV show. Psycho is fairly incredible. The shower stabbing scene is an amazing piece of work and stands up today. Jimmy Stewart was one of his favorite actors and appeared in a number of Hitchcock films. He plays in Rear Window where he witnesses a murder out his back window while convalescing in a wheel chair. The Byrds is terrific, as is Vertigo. I think my favorite is The Man Who Knew Too Much. Very famous scene where a scream during a music concert causes a would be assassin to missfire his gun and saves the life of high ranking someone or other.

Hitchcock movies were really scary because they went after human fears. Few if any special effects were ever used. He did most of his scaring through camera angles and flashes of images on the screen, as in Vertigo where the audience gets a taste of spiraling down from a height, out of control. And the Psycho shower stabbing scene.

I am a die-hard Hitchcock fan. I like Rebecca, as well as The Man Who Knew Too Much, and Notorious. Those are some of the best! (at least to me)

No doubt about it Psycho is #1, then Virtigo, then The man who saw too much and then the Birds. Hitchcock was a freaking genius. Steven King had to imitate him, even though he is a genius in his own right. I really love Hitchcock still today. Thanks for the question.
