1) y/x = 2 ; x = y/2

2) y + 2 = x ; y/2x = -4

3) x = y/2 - 3/2 ; -y/2x = 3

4) x = y + 1 2/5 ; y/5x = 7

SO:
1) y = -2 ; x = -4
2) y = -2 2/3 ; x = -2/3
3) y = 3/2 ; x = 2 1/4
4) y = 2 4/5 ; x = -0.84

The equation must be 357 = a hundred and fifty + 0.23x the place x is the type of miles because of fact there's a value of $a hundred and fifty, plus 0.23 consistent with mile. to clean up: Subtract a hundred and fifty from the two aspects of the equation to do away with the a hundred and fifty. 207 = 0.23x Divide the two aspects by ability of 0.23 to get x on my own 900 = x so which you will commute 900 miles. wish this facilitates!
