Actually, the event that brought it on was when Ray Nagin in New Orleans basically called Bush a liar by saying that there was no federal aid entering the city. Nagin even said, I'll probably lose my job for this (because at the time no one dared speak out against the Administration because it was 'unAmerican' ...but Nagin was outraged. When Nagin was proved true, the flood gates of criticism finally opened (so to speak).

It is not a tremendous loss of life. Most of our inner cities have a higher yearly death rate than the number of soldiers killed in Iraq during the war. War is a terrible thing. But, the brave men and women who join our military know that they could go into combat. Isn't that why we have a trained military? Actually after 9/11 happened, many joined specifically to go to war with the terrorists.
As for the criticism, have you just started paying attention to news media? The criticism has been occurring since the beginning of well news media. Each side critizes the other. However, the criticism during war time became increasing louder during the Vietnam War. The "peace weenies" have been crying over the same crap for years.
However, I don't think that Hillary has anything to criticize. It was her husband that was offered Osama's "head on a plate" several times by the Arab community. It was her husband who allowed Saddam to thumb his nose at the UN sanctions and resolutions. So, if her husband (who I am sure she counseled) couldn't handle the problem, what now makes her the expert on the situation?

Public figures have always had the same rights to speak in public as you and I; however, Hillary Rodham Clinton is now a member of the Senate and a larger voice in government affairs than ever. Why? Don't you think she's positioning herself to run for president in the near future?
I'm worried, because I want to know where these people were when we entered Afghanistan immediately after 9-11? Didn't we think loss of life would take place by entering that theater of war? Why were we so gung ho for war then? 9-11? Where's that patriotism now? Forgotten?
We have the right to speak against our government---its a right that we are fortunate to have --- we need to use it or else we'll be like the rest of the world and loose it!
