how can I tell if my new fendi handbag is real or fake? I received it as a gift.?

If it's a real Fendi bag then inside it should have a serial number. Also if it's a leather Fendi then scratch it a little and try to rub out the scratch. If the scratch comes out then it's not real leather. Concluding it's not a real Fendi.

If you get to keep it, it's a real gift. If you have to give it back, it's a fake gift. If you have to determine how much someone spent on you, it was an undeserved gift.

It's probably fake.
