I'm bi, and I really like my friend. She likes me back, too.

Problem is, I'm going out with a guy. I don't like him at ALL. We've only been dating for 6 days, so it's nothing amazingly serious, but I don't know if he's into me or he knew I liked him before and asked me because of that.

So, I want to date my friend, but I need to get out of this relationship. What's the best way I can do that with being completely heartless?

I don't want to break his heart. His last breakup, he swore off women for three months. I love the guy to death, just in a platonic way. I don't want him to go through that again.

Start out by complimenting him and telling him that you really wanted to be with him, but that you're finding it hard to see him as a boyfriend rather than a friend. Tell him how important his friendship is to you.

Then, if he seems like he's handling it okay, let him know about your girlfriend. But, if he's freaking out about the break up it might be best to give him a little time to heal before you tell him about your girl. Not too long though- try to tell him before he hears it from someone else.

Just make sure he knows that he didn't "drive you to lesbianism" or "turn you off of guys forever." : ) Good luck!

Just tell him the truth. Honesty is the best policy. If it's not working out it's not. Tell him you are not compatible, and you cannot see being together any longer. Then punch him in the balls. I am just kidding. That would not be nice.
