Acne Myths. There are many myths about what causes acne:
Diet. What you eat plays very little part in the development of acne. Eating lots of chocolate, greasy french fries, pizza and candy has not been implicated as causative agents of acne. There are currently studies being done on foods that may play a role in acne by manipulating hormone levels.
Hygiene. Contrary to some beliefs, uncleanliness does not play a role in acne formation. The hair follicle plugs are a combination of excess sebum and shedding epithelial cells. P. acnes is a normal flora bacteria of the skin.
Sex. Some people have reasoned that sexual activity, including masturbation, is linked to acne due to hormonal manipulation. This link has not been shown.
Ordinary Stress. Daily stress has not shown to contribute to acne formation. Severe, life-altering stress levels however, can cause acne as a side effect.

I once had a major craving for chocolate when I went to a grocery store. I couldn't resist buying the chocolate. A few days later, my pimples grown. And I became upset, and ate even MORE chocolate. And it grew even more!! I am never eating chocolate if I have a craving for no reason again! So, I guess yes. I still enjoy chocolate.
You should try Dove Dark Chocolate. Very good. Weird, eh? Dove makes soap/shampoo and chocolate?

True ... and false. Studies show that no specific food has been proven to cause acne. However, some people may notice their breakouts are worse after eating certain foods - and these foods are different depending on the person. For example, some people may notice breakouts after eating chocolate, while others are fine with chocolate but notice they get breakouts after drinking too much coffee. If that's the case for your child, it may help to have him or her cut back on that food and see if

If you rub it on your face it will. Other than that it wont.
Things that you eat can effect your face and how many pimples you get but its not by only eating chocolate. *because of eating unhealthy foods daily, lots of oils and lack of water*
However chocolate does make you retain water (not alot of people know that)

Nope, there is no scientific correlation between eating chocolates (or any "bad" food like oily stuff) and getting pimples. But if you feel like eating chocs does aggravate more of those pimps living it up, I suggest layoff those chocs and see if there's any difference if you stop eating chocolates.

chocolate does not give you pimples, however, oil does. SInce hormonal changes make you crave chocolate and at the same time (usually around your "time of the month") make your face greasy, chocolate always gets the blame.
