how did you deal with this? and if it felt impossible but you really did earn the A how did you go about it? did you just work harder? sometimes even working the hardest will not get me an A.

Ya. I just listened to the lectures very carefully, got my doubts cleared, read the text-book (no refreshers & help-books), & TOOK A CHILL PILL. I realised that it was important to take a break, play, watch TV , & have fun. I just wrote what i understood & remebered &, believe me, it wasn't difficult.
I felt elated & just went c_ock-a-hoop when I got A! I didn't work harder, normally I don't. On the contrary, I became even more casual! I think, the secret lies in paying attention to the class-lectures.

Kind of had a similar but not identical experience. Turns out is was just impossible for everyone else to get an A. =D
