I saw a girl do a skit to the 50's song"Splish Splash,I Was Taking A Bath". She had a bathtub and had white and clear and pearlized balloons around the edge. She came out in a dance outfit with a towel over it and pantomined the song. She would be in the tub for part and dance for part. It was cute and she won the talent part in her age group14-18yrs. You could use one of the old round tubs so it would be easy to carry to camp. My daughter did a gymnastic jazz routine to Pinball Wizard and we used painted wood cutouts for the bumper deals and made a scoreboard with Christmas lights for the back of the stage. My daughter did another skit and the outdoor audience of approx. 500 was silent. We put a cardboard box in the center of the stage that she would live in as a street kid named TK for Tough Kid. She came on stage wrapping her arm with a scrap of material and holding onto a piece of bread. She tells the story of how she came to live on the street and how she wouldn't let the big kids take her food and that is why her arm is broken. She sits and walks around while talking about her life before that was abusive and hard. She hides when she hears someone coming. At the end she begins talking about someone called God that she heard ppl talking about. She wonders if there can really be someone like that and begins to pray while sitting in front of her little cardboard home. She asks God that if He is real if he would help her because she had only known pain, hatred, and had to fight and steel food even at home. She asks Him to help her rest (she rubs her arm a lot) and to be safe while she sleeps. It ends with her seeming relaxed and lays down to go to sleep. It was overwhelming and no one said a word for a looong minute! I wrote it for her. She dressed in mismatched clothes and worn out shoes. She covered with newspaper when she lay down..At the end she stood up and was out of character and said that this was happening all over America and we need to help our abused and neglected kids. I had better quit before I write a book's worth! Good luck!

Gymnastic dance and hula hooping. It puts your body on display and will have people wondering "Woah, how can she do that?" and "Wow! That's awesome!"
If you're not flexible or fit enough to do that, I would suggest firedancing or glowsticking to techno. Give them a lightshow by tieing rope to glowsticks and twirling them in the dark for a dance act. Add some glow in the dark costumes and you won't have to do much more to gain cool attention.
