The Australians suck and need to cheat. The funny thing is that Australia cheats and loses. then the Australians cry babies cry like the losers and cry babies they are. The world hates cry babies and thus hates Australians. oi oi oi austalians go WAA WWAAA WAAAAAAAAA.

I don't think they played in a gay way, but I also don't think that they would have defeated Italy in the extra time. The whole Italy vs Australia match was messed up by the referee, who first gave an unjustified red card to an Italian player, and then a controversial (according to some) penalty against Australia.
Italy is by far a more experienced and more skilled team, but Australia wasn't bad at all for a team at their first World Cup after 30 years or so. I liked how they played, and I am an Italian fan!!!

Don't know what you mean by gay.
Anyhow, Australia played well enough to be considered a top 10 team in the world. They have a great defense, great keeper, a midfield that keeps on running - with a world class player Kewell. The only area they really lack is in attack. Had Viduka had a freer role or Josh Kennedy been brought on late against Italy, Australia would have easily made the semi finals.

What is playing gay, in your opinion ? .....They played well and will improve further as they get more experience on the world stage. All Australians ever wanted from them was for them to play their best and to be proud of themselves as we are. They did that and win lose or draw makes us no less proud of their performance or result. They played beyond our expectations and of many others, so if that is playing gay, well so be it. We are not overly fussed by what you think of them or their playing style. Pre WC they were supposed to be a dirty, aggressive side and now they play gay. Oh well you can't please everyone. They pleased the ones that count, us Aussies.

They did not play gay they played so outstanding and im australian and it was there first world cup they will maybe be closer in 2010 and who knows might win

They played fair......the way the game is supposed to be played!!!
They showed the world how they can play and what great sportsman they are and not a bunch of school girl pansies who roll around the ground or dive around like prima ballerinas in a swimming diving comp!!
