Smoking is not safe - don't you watch TV, listen to the radio, or read surgeon general's warnings?

Ok why did you get punched? I'd gargle with salt water or water with a small amount of peroxide. Smoking is never safe. And noooo I'm not some whiney anti smoking person. But I did smoke for 9 years, and just quit, and feel AWESOME. Maybe now's a good time to quit.

It's never safe to smoke. It is always dangerous, expensive, foolish, stinky, disgusting, stupid and a hobby of the dumb and uneducated. Quit as if your life depends on it, because it does.
As for your cut on your lip gargle warm salt water every few hours and before long you'll be tobacco free and your lip will be healed.

Use a strong mouthwash to keep the wound clean and don't smoke until the wound has healed. Smoking reduces the oxygen getting into the tissues necessary to speed up healing. The mouth is a bacteria-ridden place and you could get a nasty infection if you have a wound, so the faster it heals, the better.

It is not safe to smoke, that will slow your healing time and greatly increase the chance of getting an infection. Try to be gentle on the area when brushing your teeth and use mouth washes that don't have alcohol in them. Try to drink only water to avoid hurting the area more.

1. Never safe to smoke
2. DO NOT GARGULE PEROXIDE!!!!!! It's poisonous!!!!!
3. There really isn't anything you can do for a cut on the underside of your lip... kinda has to just heal itself.
4. DO NOT GARGULE PEROXIDE!!!!!! IT'S STILL POISONOUS!!!
5. Use some Listerine... that has alcohol in it... that'll clean that cut out and heal faster... while killing the bacteria that may cause infection.

I agree about the water/peroxide mixture. If you are a smoker then smoke, it may take longer to heal but it will heal. Next time duck before the punch connects. LOL

No, I think you should figure out some other way to kill yourself.

The best way to take care of an injury to your mouth is by rinsing often with a anticeptic mouthwash or hydrogen peroxide to keep the bacterial level as low as possible and prevent infection.

It's never safe to smoke. Rinse your mouth out with Listerine to avoid infections. And keep away from violent people.

It's never safe to smoke, and it's actually pretty unsafe to go around getting in fist fights.
