Check all the songs that Rod Stewart has covered lately on his Great American Songbook CDs. Whether you like his spin on these old songs or not, it is a very good list, then track down an artist that you enjoyed. I happen to love old Rod myself.

Some titles:

These Foolish Things
Moonglow
Can't Take That Away From Me
Everytime We Say Goodbye

yada yada yada check this out for the whole set, just to peruse the titles if nothing else.

Wow . . . Lots and lots o' possibilities here, you might start with Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday. Many modern vocalists have covered the "classics," too, including Michael Buble, Diana Krall and Harry Connick, Jr.

There are so many wonderful ones . . . a personal fave of mine is Frank Sinatra's "I've Got You Under My Skin" . . . happy hunting!

"Falling In Love Again" is a classic one too. I'm partial to Marlena Deitrich's version for my own personal sentimental reasons.

Oooh, Julie London has some pretty classic love songs.
