I have a problem, I do not know how to wear makeup (and I'm 20 years old to make it worse)
The problem being, I do not have a double eye lid, I have a single. For those of you who don't know what that is, when your eye is open there is usually a crease where your eyelid folds back, I do not have that. When I open and close my eye I don't get that crease. When I see makeup applied it usually co-inacts with that double eyelid, since I do not have that, I can't seem to get any kind of look and the makeup always looks uneven. I can't find anyone who knows how to help me with this our how to apply makeup to someone with a single eyelid.
Any help?

I face your dilemma too since I don't have a crease. I think many asian girls try to apply eyeshadow to their eyes and it ends up looking like splotches of paint (similar to your situation). For the moment, try eyeliner. They come in so many shades and will excentuate your eyes. Look to try eyeshadow pencils. Jane (a brand found in many rite aids) makes one that come in many different colors and you just draw a line along your upper lash lines. It comes out looking like eyeshadow on me because the line is quite thick, but it isn't a bit blotch, so its quite nice. Mascara also does wonders on opening up your eyes. Use a eyelash curler (I like la cross) followed by a waterproof mascara (I like covergirl lash exact waterproof formula) to hold the curl in place. Also, buy some neutral shades from the drugstore and experiment with application. After awhile, you'll find something that works for you.

Hmm im an asian girl myself too. Well, actually it doesn't mean that if you dont have double eyelid, u don't look good. Yea?.. You ought to have confidence in yourself to be beautiful...
But if you really do want to get those double eyelids, you might want to try to grab those eyelid stickers that could be pasted on your eyelids and when u open your eyes, the double eyelids will appear. Try to put on thick mascara too, it helps to 'open' your eyes. That works for me. Hope you can get over this soon. =D

hey hey fellow asian relax! having single eyelids should not trouble you. you can have great eyes by curling your eyelashes (or using fake ones if they're too short), applying two coats of mascara to 'open your eyes'.
use a nude eyeshadow to highlight eyes all the way to brow area, and a hint of colour (just a bit!) around the upper eyelid (you can choose to use eyeliner instead). use shimmery colour on the inner corners and outer corners (not the whole lid, or it may make your eyes seem smaller!).
don't overdo the eyeliner, some people i know do it and they look terrible!
make sure your eyebrows are well-defined for a smart look.
apply a little blush on your cheekbones to brighten up the whole look. plump up your lips (if they're thin) with gloss to divert attention away slightly from your eyes. if they're full lips, go for a matte colour with a hint of shiny gloss in the centre of your lips.
go knock them dead girl! ;D

The first person who answered your question is stupid lol but I think you should go into a department store that sells makeup in the mall, they usually have people working that who apply makeup for people for free. I think that would be your best bet. Otherwise, do you have any relatives who wear makeup? I have an asian friend who wears eyeliner, so it is possible. Good luck!

Find a cosmetologist or search for tips on the web. There may be a school in your area that has student interns earning hours for work.

If your eyes seem small, dont use dark shadows, and no eyeliner, eyeliner actually makes the eyes seem smaller than what they actually are.
