I use to have lots of respect for Zidane, but since the head-butt to Materazzi he's made a fool of himself and he's disappointed his team and fans.
What do you think??

I think Zidane was a good player, but what he has done in the World Cup Final is ridiculous, as well as the many other times he has done the same before!
The FIFA Officials (Blatter, Platini & Co.) have been a disgrace for the soccer world with their absurd behavior towards Italians and in favor of Zidane!
In addition, I think bitter people like "touzours" are just BIG losers who won't accept that ITALY is the WORLD CHAMPION.

Hey Juve,
Zidane and Del Piero have been my favourite International players for many years. I'm saddened at how he snapped and what eventuated, but you know I can't say how I would react in that situation, after hearing of a parents terminal illness and subsequent hospitalisation just hours before, playing my last match and having the weight of a nations hopes and dreams on my shoulders. i guess the best answer I can offer as a fan is, I'm more disappointed at what happened than I am in him as a person or player. He has had moments like this before, that cannot be denied but so have many others if we look hard enough into their playing history. Gosh just go to youtube...lol...you will see the worst of everyone. I think both players bare responsibility to some degree. I so wish the whole thing had never happened at all. I think it is incredibly difficult for people to be unbiased one way or the other on this issue. Oh the joys of football.

Absolument! Now when I think of Zidane all I can think about is that horrible assualt on Materazzi. If that would have happened on the street Zidane would be in jail for assualting his fellow man. From now on when I hear the name Zidane I will immediately think of a head-butting.

Before the World Cup final match, I used to admire Zidane as a player. After the headbutt, I was truly disappointed in him, especially when I found out that he wasn't new to such displays of aggressive behavior on the pitch. That doesn't make him a worse football player skill-wise, but to me a world-class champion should also be an example of sportsmanship. In this World Cup, I think Cannavaro was the best in both senses -- not only a talented player, but also correct on the pitch [he didn't even get one yellow card].

Zidane is a loser and a moron. He should get jail time for his crime on the feild. Zidane will go down in history as a loser as well as France being losers. Also the French people of France are known losers ,poor sports and cry babies. ITALY WINS and all you can do is CRY FRANCE.

â¥shahrzad29⥠Zidane himself said that it wasn't a racial insult it was an insult towards his family.I too had great respect for the man but then I saw what happened and all of that respect became disappointment. All I can say is that even if that hadn't happened France would have still lost.

I don't think Zidane is wrong.I saw all happening in the field.
If I was in this situation, I will do more than that.
May be Zidane is right.
You are very lucky because I am so free in this time.

NO, people is now talking more about him then about WC winners!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's like Maradona's Hand Of God, every time someone will talk about WC2006, they will talk about Zidane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was smart thing to do for him, because he didn't do any thing big in the final to be remembered after, but his head butt will be remembered for EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Just think about it , people is talking only about Rooney/C.Ronaldo and Zidane!!!!!
