It feels as good as a good dump, without having to take my shorts off.
I don't have a sense of smell, so I've perfected the ability to control the volume - silent for discretion, loud for entertainment value.
If I have an opportunity to show contempt for someone else's comment by letting a good one rip, I won't pass it up. People are very impressed with your debating skills when you can pull this off well. Count on having the last word.

It gives some people the chance to display some Victorian primness. The farter denounces his fart by declaring it "disgusting" and assures everyone that he is among the foremost of those who are offended by it.

I don't enjoy it and always use my manners and leave the room. MY GRANDSONS,AGES 8,8 1/2, &9 1/2 LOVE TO AND ALWAYS DO IT WHEN THEY GET TOGETHER! I couldn't stand the smell in their bdrm the other day when I went in to see what they were doing and laughing so hard about!GROSS! MY CAT WOULDN'T GO IN THERE!!!

Uh.. well it's not something I seek out to do. But it can be enjoyable if my belly is bloated and painful. Then when I fart, I feel better.
