An end to terrorism?

Here is the solution to islamic terrorism:

We, the United States of America, let it be known that if terrorism does not stop, and terrorists not turned over to be punished for their crimes against nature (which include them being born in the first place), then we will begin bombing their holy places and other things they hold sacred.

Its obvious that these sub-hum*ns dont value their own life, but im sure they would think twice before strapping a bomb to their chest if we turned up the temperature in Mecca to 2000 degree instantly. How many of the "moderate" governments in the middle east would take an active role in stopping terrorism if we threatened to destroy the rocks and sticks that they worship? All of them.

The only flaw in the plan is that the U.S.A. has a disease known as political correctness (See below "answers" and comments as a reference to this fact). Our own passivity is what will allow terrorists to continue.

dam right... they are out to change the world convincing everyone islam is the right way, and they can't even agree or co-operate among themselves(killing each other in Iraq) they have no concept of life (islamists) because all they have ever known is violence and death... that is their worldview. That is one screwed up worldview.

you are very naive. ignoring the world 'terrorism', those who commit these acts of violence are people just like you and me. these things are done because of ideas like yours. look how many lives america has destroyed because a few terrible men destroyed some buildings and while the loss of life involved was awful - it should not have been enough to punish whole countries full of innocent people.

imagine if you did the same in the middle east. all those people whose lives were destroyed there would want revenge on america, the same way you are seeking revenge now. it becomes a self-perpetuating cycle.

terrorists can come from any country, race or religion. however, at the moment we are breeding more terrorists in the middle east because we are threatening their way of life - just as you felt your own threatened.

peace does not come from making more enemies. it comes by trying to understand them and helping them see you as friends.

So, you would bomb the holy place of ALL followers of a religion because of the actions of a minority? What happens when you get people like Timothy McVeigh who were christian, would you bomb Rome? or Jerusalem? Or just nuke the church he went to in Oklahoma, regardless of which americans are in there. They didn't stop him so obviously they should also be punished.

don't blanket all of any group, extremists on any side are destructive

our passivity is why a lot of people are still alive, i don't agree with how this war is fought, but if we took up an agreesive attitude, now wait, don't that sound like Attilia the Hun, WWII Germany, Rome?

aggressive attitude quickly ends in self-destruction
