Wow that's amazing! One of my best friends is a Haley H, she's 13 about that height and I'm sure she weighs less than 100 lbs!
If this *IS* the Haley I know, yes, u r skinny but not scary.
Right now it's 'IN' to be skinny and as long as you are eating normal I'm sure everything is fine. My mom taught me a rule that goes something like 5 feet = 100 lbs and for every inch above 5 feet you add 5 pounds as a guidline for average/healthy weight. So 5'4" would be about 120 lbs so you are a bit under weight. I'm almost 5'4" and I'm 125lbs and I look a little chubby so that seems about right.
You have to keep in mind too that muscle weighs A LOT more than fat. Weight can be deceptive when you are toneing your muscle, you might gain weight but actually get smaller before building up more. Swimming is my favorite excercise and works all the muscles. I'm going to call my friend Haley now & invite her over for a swim! Thanks & good luck!
Take care of your body, it's the only one you've got! ;)

I'm 5'7" and weigh 120 pounds, which some folks think is "underweight". However, according to the body mass index charts (BMI), I am not underweight, but close to it.

I don't know what's a healthy weight for a teen girl, because I'm an "old lady" of 34. *grin* But if you find yourself freaking out when you look at yourself, then LISTEN to your intuition! You probably ARE too skinny, if you feel uncomfortable about it. And the part about having no muscle sounds unhealthy as well, since we all need at least SOME muscle. Heck, we need some fat on our bones too!

I would definitely talk this over with a doctor or nurse whom you trust. If they think your weight is unhealthy, they can help you work out ways to change that (increase and/or improve your eating habits, exercise to build muscle, whatever). They might even refer you to a nutritionist or dietician.

Good luck! :) I think it's very cool that you're taking an interest in your body, and that you recognize when things don't quite seem right.

I think you're...kinda skinny. No offense, okay? It's because my little sister, 4'10, 11 years old, and weighs 83 lbs. No, shes not fat. She's like a pole, or a stick. So, get a bit more fat. Hit the couch, eat ice cream, and watch TV. I think that most girls should aim for skinny but has a decent amount of fat. No one likes anyone too skinny.

Don't worry about it too much. You are pretty young and things change a lot during puberty. But since it is on you mind ask your parents to take you to the doctor. Please don't try to add weight with junk food. There are many alternatives. Anyway, afre there any really thin relatives? Might be a family thing.

Yes you are underweight. I checked your BMI which is 16.4 which is underweight. (18 and lower is underweight) So, I suggest you eat a lot or exercise with weights to gain muscles.

You are too young to worry about this, as you grow older, you will have a much better body build than those who look like little adults at your age.
