I saw the movie Barnyard today and all of the cows including the male ones have udders! Does anyone know why this is?

It's better not to know what mad scientist Farmer Brown has done to those poor critters. That, and since they were being anatomicly correct with the other animals, it'd probably take away some of the steamy G-rated goodness if the bulls were running around with testicles the size of footballs.
(Later note: Wow, I am totally surprised by the fact that so many of you know the difference between cows and bulls. I am not being mean or anything, but I grew up in a total hick town with more cattle than people and a lot of the locals were still pretty confused [oooooooooooooh......])
Also, cows can have horns; it's a hormone thingy!

Because either the people in charge of the film aren't aware that only female cows have udders like that (being city folk and never actually seeing a live cow) or they felt that the average person seeing the movie wouldn't know.

On theTonight show, they said it was because the correct part may distract from the movie and that little kids probably wouldn't notice. Besides that there are no male cows. They are bulls!!

A male cow is impossible. To solve the animators problem, draw both genders as female. You can not show the male reproductive organ to minors in any format including on any species.
The short answer, censorship.

maybe you should call the animators. Thats just plane lamo.
I thought I saw a preview with one that had horns.
But now thinking about it the boy cow did have udders, I dont maybe it was a "bull dike"

They are not anatomically correct. The animators thought it would be ok to all give them udders, even though that is not true in real life. The animators are idiots.

yes...male cows? all cows are female. the males are bulls so that doesn't make sense. bulls aren't black and white like cows. and the animators are pretty dumb or they were too lazy to do some research

Just to let you know. Cows are always female. there are no male cows. They are bulls or steers but not cows or heifers.
