The Yankees by a wide margin. The five best teams in baseball this year are the Tigers, White Sox, Yankees, Red Sox and Twins. Two of those five are going to miss the playoffs, while crap teams like the Cardinals will qualify in the weak National League.
How bad are the Cardinals? They recently lost four straight to the Cubs. That's a bad sign because the Cubs are borderline retarded. Typically, the Cubs only win when Zambrano pitches.

Yankees
The AL is waayyy better than the NL and plus the yankees are 9 for their last 10 and any team that loses over 1/2 the starting rotation, 2 outfielders a 2nd baseman all for over a month, plus the ss and the 3b for about a week or two each and still leads the division is hands down great

this is coming from a red sox fan I completely agree with the kid who said the thing bout the five best teams are twins sox sox yanks and tigers he is absolutly right. And i think that toronto is better than any nl team also and so are the angels the nl is horrible. Jim Rome said it best about the nl West race and the NL wildcard. All those teams are batling for is to get there butts whooped by the mets in the playoffs then they are gunna go home and watch whoever comes out of the al whoop the mets. The Cardinals suck and they arent even in the same league as the yankees.(and i dont mean al and nl)

i think the cardinals are better not just because of Albert pujols but of the rest of the offense and mostly because of their pitching staff.the Yankees have some talent but mostly money also randy Johnson and the rest of the Yankees staff has been up and down and pitching is the key to a teams success just look at the braves last year their pitching staff was good but this year their staff has been a little shaky.lol I'm only 13 but when it comes to sports I'm 34

yea its the yankees.
I think their pitching it better, with Mussina and Wang
And the line up is way way better.
Also the yankees play in a tougher division, a tougher league and have a way better record.
There are a lot of teams better than the cardinals
