For years my feet have gotten worse and worse. I cut off the calluses and use Dr. Shcoll's calluse remover but they allways grow back with a vengance. Please help.

Cutting off the calluses is a start.. I have this problem all summer.. buy a foot file.. use it directly after you get out of the shower.. this will help slough off dead skin.. then a couple times a week, put vaseline on your feet and put on some socks and walk around like this or sleep like this (its very icky feeling but it works).. put lotion on your feet before putting them in socks and shoes.. if wearing sandals only do it at night or your feet will sweat and smell in your sandals and get slippery

Good answer by lady above! I am a manicurist, and she's right on the money. Some people just callous easily. Be very careful cutting the skin on your feet. Sometimes if you do it too much it seems to get worse, this is because you're taking away too much skin that is there for a reason. I would only reccomend cutting or trimming callouses about once a month. I use a foot file in the shower every few days and that works really great. If the callous gets too bad, or your heels start to severely crack, see a podiatrist. Sometimes a fungus is to blame.
