Israel doesnt want land. Hell, they withdrew from Lebanon six years ago. They want now what they wanted then: for Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah terrorists...which Lebanon agreed to do six years ago.

UN resolution sponsored by Germany, France and United States during Clinton years brokered the agreement. But Bush (or France or Germany, either) never followed through by pushing Lebanon.

In fact, when it came time for elections in Lebanon, Bush said to go ahead and let Hezbollah be involved...which legitimized Hezbollah further in the minds of the Lebanonese. And since the Bushies have cut off diplomatic ties with everyone in the region now except Israel, they have no position from which to broker a new deal or go back and enforce the old one.

Bush is a jackass.

On the map, no..

On the ground, yes..

Troops are in the south..

The south makes the New Jersey landfills look like the Bahamas..

If Israel pulls out someday.. BIG IF!!!

Then it will take them at least 20 years to rebuild the entire south, not to mention Beirut..
