That's so nice! I try to help others as much as I possibly can. I truly care about people and enjoy making someone smile. I think that doing a nice thing without expecting anything in return is so awesome! It really gives you a great feeling. For a long time I lacked self esteem, today I have self esteem and it's come by being good to people and just straightening my "act" up, and doing the next right thing, if you know what I mean. I think I'll go make my list now. Thanks for sparking the thought! Have a wonderful weekend!!

I love this question! Just a few suggestions....

1. Send money to a friend in need with a typed note, telling them that this gift is for all of the wonderful things they do and for being such a wonderful person. (This happened to a friend and she was so grateful and it very much helped her). You do not have to send a lot but $50 to a single Mom or Dad is huge!

2. Donate goods to local shelters. You can get some very nice clothes at the thrift for next to nothing or you can just give them a money order.

3. Scrape someones car windows in the winter for a person you know will have trouble.

4. We had a customer come into a bank that I worked at that we all loved, she never complained. She was an older lady and had a very hard time making her bills and buying prescriptions. We used to slip money into the top of her purse when she wasn't looking. It was a very small town and I know she spent it wisely. She had no idea who did it. If we would have gotten in trouble it would have been worth it. We had about 5 older people we all kind of adopted.

5. Bring a family in need a box of food and staples, not only during the holidays. Just leave it on their porch early so no one catches you.

It is so hard to do this without someone finding out but this is definately my favorite way to give!

Move the newspaper to the front door, inside the screen if it's raining.
Water the potted plants on a hot day.
Pay the toll for the guy behind you.
Give the busboy a tip, too!
Tell the mailman, "boy is it hot!" and hand him a cold pepsi and a smile, and tell him Thanks! for his hard work.
Tell a co-worker, "I appeciate your hard work!"
Tell a nurse/doctor "Thanks for caring about people."
Bring an elderly person at a nursing home a card, flowers, a stuffed animal. (some of these people NEVER get visitors!) Tell them how great they look today, and you just wanted to stop in and tell them that!
Give a child at a lemonade stand a dollar instead of a quarter, and tell them to "keep the change!"
Stop by and see your Mom!
Stop by and see your Dad!
Take a friend to the movies, and tell them, "You're my best friend!"
Life is short, live it!

*Pray for them.

*Pay a bill for them or make a deposit in their savings account. I've found this works, companies don't care who makes the payment. They should only have a problem if you asked to make changes to the account.lol.

I must be mean, I can only think of picking up litter along their fence line. Helps give their property a tidy appearance.
