Does the "HAWIIAN PUNCH" mascot advocate violence?
He is always running around asking people if they want a hawiian punch, and then punching them. Is this really a good example for the children of today?

I've seen the Kool-Aid guy smash through brick walls in comercials in the 70's too! The violence! Those two and the Hamburgler need to be stopped!

Yeah, the government (and the very republic!) was better off when it was ruled by a very radical MAJORITY...ya know, the kind that kept other races "in there place" (F all this new "political correctness" right?) Look, I don't get "offended" on a very deep level, but there are some mascots that are over the line...the grinning Cleveland Indians logo...and the Braves fan behavior is so completely inappropriate (but what do you expect from Atlantans anyway). Of course, you don't see anything wrong with it...you are from the particular society that created these mascots in the first place. And BTW - you CERTAINLY aren't the only one offended by "radicals"...there are a bunch of p-o'd aggressive/conservative white guys that think exactly the same way you do - so you shouldn't feel all lonesome.

I read an article in Discover magazine recently that claimed that humor evolved before speech, as a way to communicate that something was wrong, but not seriously so. According to the article, laughter probably started during hominids' first attempts to walk on two legs, and went the attempts went awry, those who were watching would make noises to let the one who was walking know that they hadn't quite got it right.

So, the first humor was probably slapstick. I don't see anything wrong with it. Kids generally know or quickly learn that while it's funny when punchy hits someone on TV, it's not funny when it happens in real life.

No, but it was assumed it did. That's why he hasn't been able to punch anybody who wanted a "Hawaiian punch" in many a year. It was corny but funny.

No worse then the example of abortion. Now that is serious! I do not condemn the person but do believe it is wrong.
