I was very young when he was president, so I did not pay much attention to the everyday events as they happened. I have, however, studied his presidency, as well as those of others who served in the office while I was alive, but not paying attention.

I don't think he was a great president. He didn't really do much. I do, however, believe that he has been an excellent diplomat, and that that is where his real strength lies. I believe he will be remember in American History as a diplomat who happened to be President once, rather than a President who also happened to have some diplomatic skills. His diplomacy is where he shines, and I believe that's how he'll be remembered.

He is one of the worst presidents we ever had. His handling of the embassy seizure in Iran led to the perception of American weakness among Islamic extremists. This perception led to a number of terrorist attacks.

He has been an even worse ex-president taking sides against the U.S. -- most notably when he hijacked the negotiations with North Korea. The led to the so-called "Agreed Framework" which N.K. never observed and led directly to the current nuclear & missile crisis in that region.

As President, he was a joke with a big ego. Still has that big ego and seems to fashion himself a man of the world. He is just an older misguided liberal now.

..........Although he does perform some nice charitable works.

Too easy to be a pushover for congress. Since he pulled that stunt at Martin Luther King's wife's funeral. I'm pretty mad at him.
