how do i get into this folder "C:\System Volume Information\_restore"?

theres a couple of viruses in them and i want to scan the folder but i cant seem to get into it.,
it says acces denied etc.

how do i get into this folder "C:\System Volume Information\_restore"

If you feel comfortable with adjusting xp settings etc. go to this web page http://www.theeldergeek.com/system_volume_information_folder1.htm and follow the instructions that match your OS and setup.

If the sole purpose is to get rid of virus that just won't die, it most likely was stored while your computer was infected and you can turn off system restore or by cleaning up old restore points using the disk cleanup feature.
