they cant trust each other? They do have children, but damn, life goes on. All these people do is take turns hurting each other, it's pathetic.

I think in these situations they always HOPE things will change. If they lost trust, they are hoping to get it back. Alot of times I think they don't want to make the same mistakes their parents made or they have made in the past. Sometimes struggle and losing trust makes a couple grow stronger and sometimes it ends up ruining the marriage/relationship. Everyone is different but you still have to know when to let go and call it quits.

I was separated for a year after our two children were born..Filed for divorce, but being raised in a broken family I couldn't stand the idea of our kids having to go through the same crap I went through, especially because we both loved our children. I thought if nothing else, we could raise the kids together, be kind to each other, and be friends. Got back together, got a few months of marriage counselling, the kids are grown and on their own and are still together after 23 years. I would never say people should stay together for the children's sake, but they are a great reason to try to work things out..It's worth it. I found out I loved the guy after all.

There does come a time when, they should sit down and talk, and listen. they don't sound like they're is any respect for one another , what a shame since there are children. But if all they do is disrespect each other then i would say , the children are better off if they did get a divorce. This type of thing is very common in some relationships.,

Maybe they're trying to stay together for the children. Which is never a good choice, but at least they're THINKING of the children, right?

And sometimes, even if you don't trust someone, it's hard to let go because you still love them. My fiance and I broke up last year for three months, because of stupid stuff, but I still loved him and I learned to trust him again. And I'm glad that I did, becase I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him and I put the past in the past and left it there to die.

It doesn't sound like much of a relationship. Trust is the base and without the base all else crumbles. I really don't know why people want to be miserable, but some function better that way.
