okay...the deal with pro-active...
i've used it...and it has so much benzoyl peroxide...it only works for a short amount of time....in the beginning yeah it works well...but towards the end i guess your body gets so used to it it doesnt matter....my suggestion is cheaper......

1. clean your face w/ a gentle non-comedegenic soap...like cetaphil
2. use a acne medication thats 2-3 % benzoyl peroxide...then wash your hands
3. apply an oil free moisturizer to prevent your face from gettin too dry from the benzoyl peroxide...

hope i helped

I found an alternative for Proactive. It's called AcneFree. It's about $20..so it's half the price of Proactive. It really works too. Obviously you have to give it time if you have really bad acne. I started seeing results after 3 days. You have to use it in the morning and before you go to bed. I started using it about 2 weeks ago and my face is almost completely cleared. It also comes with 2 extra products that help get rid of acne scars. Try it before you spend like $50 for Proactive.

The proactiv like these are the best: http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?index=beauty&keywords=proactiv&tag=igee-20

The idea of proactiv is to keep your facial skin clean throughout the day. It can be simple things like sweating or just oil building up on your face that tends to lead to acne which is prevented when you wash your face properly. The proactiv does just exactly what you're suppose to do to your face everyday to help clear up the acne problem. Since everyone skin is different and the amount of acne on each persons face differs, don't expect it to work overnight. Everything takes time, and with proper time you will see good results. So you will see people continuously use this product and support it when they see the skin clearing up. Just make sure you try small amounts of it first on your face to make sure the chemicals in those bottles are not giving you any allergic reactions.

No buy this product!

I used to have really bad acne in grade 5, but now proactiv has fixed this problem. I recommend this product fully.

Honestly proactive is the best product that I ever used to clear my skin fast!! But, the only problem is that it works when it wants to,so dont rush,be patient and you'll see the results "unexpected".

It works for some people. It worked for my sister but it did'nt work for a friend of mine. I don't know if it has to do with the different types of skin but everybody is different.

Yes, definitely. I recommend that once you start using it and see results, you can always change the frequency of shipments and the item combinations (1 cleanser, 1 toner, 1 repairing lotion OR 3 cleansers, etc.) based on your needs. Also, be sure to use sunscreen!!!! It really makes your skin more sensitive to the sun (sun spots, burning, etc.) Good luck!!!

Yes, it is certainly worth it. It works very well, but not for everyone. I've seen people use it upon who it had no effect.
