I read a newspaper article about this and I guess I am just naive, it didn't occur to me. I have been buying razor blade cartridges for so much cheaper than in thestore...and now I feel like part of a problem...

I imagine quite a lot. If you research some of the sellers, you'll wonder why someone has five Coach hand bags for sale. They are either stolen, or fake. If you look at Craig's List, its even more prevalent. I saw this one ad, where the seller (I think handbags, also) advised she was going to be in a certain parking lot in a green van, at a certain time. That seemed very strange!

I wouldn't be surprised if it is fairly common.

If something is being sold brand new for well below cost, there may be a legitimate reason, but if someone can get a fair price for it, what else would compel them to sell it for so cheap, unless it was stolen and they were trying to unload it?

I think eBay is probably quite convenient to sell stolen goods, as it doesn't seem to be monitored or regulated in any obvious way. Slap something up for sale, and sit and wait for a buyer. It seems quite a bit safer than trying to sell something out in the open where you face a risk of being caught.

It really wouldnt suprise me its common for people to sell stolen goods.

Ebay is alot safer then going into a pawn shop to sell something, since they do finger print, and ID you, which leaves you wide open, but really now, how does this bother you?

I dont think anyone cares if what they buy off Ebay is actually theirs or stolen, as long as they receieve what they bought in the mail.

Buy yeah, I think its common.

No doubt. I inadvertently purchased a bootleg DVD off Ebay, which qualifies as stolen intellectual property. Advertised as authentic and sold from the UK, but I received some homemade POS from China.
