fredo - crispin Glover (good choice) Glover is excellent
he has the fredo - kinda demented kinda sad down pat
Connie - Ryder and/or Moore no way both are too well known
for more light weight roles. I'd go with Claire Forlani (she played
Susan Parrish in Meet Joe Black) excellent actress looks Italian
petite and really fits the mold
tom Hagen - I'd go with Mathew Broderick, looks Irish, soft spoken demeanor, similar to Duval, good actor
or maybe Tom Skerritt
sonny - Sean Penn excellent choice excellent perfect hot head
plus he is a good actor in spite of his sometimes off screen weirdness
Michael- tom cruise could work he is an excellent actor
Richard Gere i don't know he might work also
Bruce Willis possibly
don Vito - Deniro definitely a consideration
I'd give Dennis Hooper a spin also, he'd be a long shot
but he's a character actors actor and if anyone could pull it off
it would either be Deniro or Hooper.
For the Godfather you def need someone who could tackle
that part eat it up and come back as a believable Godfather

One of the best things about the Godfather was the fact that the cast was Italian. They looked the part, and they had the mannerisms and idiom down pat. This cast, except DeNiro, is WAY too whitebread. Tom Cruise could never, in a million years, project the sense of menace that Pacino does. Sean Penn does gangster great, he's the only thing other than De Niro I agree with.

The only person I can see in the Godfather is Robert Deniro and Matt Dillon. Tom cruise would never be in the Godfather because he is too F### up.

Everything was great until you got to Tom Cruise......I think Di Niro would mash his face. That guy is less than zero and a total freak .What an insult to Al Pacino ....Every thine else was a +++++ get a new Michael ..

Some good choices... until you had to ruin it with Tom Cruise.... what the f*$#!!! he is not a great actor.... I would've gone for a Ray Liotta (great in Goodfellas)...
Although the original cast was the perfect cast... we could only dream "what if?".. but please, leave TOM CRUISE out of anything... (don't get me wrong, he is nice to look at)... but for that I would've chosen Brad Pitt (way better actor than Cruise) and nicer to look at too....

that all sounds good except for tom cruise as michael. he definatly isn't italian enough and isn't all that good of an actor anyways. but then again, i cant really think of anyone good for the part myself. maybe christian bale, he isn't very italian either though
