I always have to click the "thumbnails" icon every time i want to look at my folders in thumbnails. I dont want lists, icons, details, etc. I JUST WANT "THUMBNAILS"!!!!!!
I have tried everything i can think of.

go to a folder any folder it doesnt matter which one click view> thumbnails>
now without closeing the folder window tools> folder options> view> and click the "Apply to all folders" button

Thumbnails are used for folders that contain pictures only. You can set that under "folder options" so that if you have pictures in a folder, the folder and pictures will be used as a thumbnail. Thumbnail view is unique to pictures.
