absolutely not. metal is too thin. use a ladder and if washing, be sure to wear non slip shoes. if you are not convinced go to a junk yard and try it out; if i was having a hard time removing a part from a car i would go to a junk yard to see how it came apart such as a door handle that has a clip that must be removed before removing door panel.

As a contractor, there have been times when I have worked off the roof of one of my minivans, lol.... I did cause the roof to 'pop' in, with my weight, but it was easy to fix.. I just got inside the van, and pushed up on the roof...popped it right back out, no problem.
When I realized how easy it was to work off of, then I made a platform to mount on top, out of 2x6 lumber, and plywood. The platform distributed my weight, and I didnt have to pop the roof back out, lol. It also gave me a nice solid, flat surface to work off of. It was much easier to work off of that, than a ladder.

Just carfully try it. Depends on the van material size etc. I watched a pearl jam concert from the top of my neighbors van. It was not made to stand on, Oh and it was me and three other people.
