one that won't give me a virus, or that i could get caught, i want to find one that has good quality of music and won't mess up my computer

I use LimeWire, but most of the stuff is spam, viruses, or gay porn. (Ewww....) I hear BearShare is good, but I haven't tried it. I would also suggest using BitTorrent if you can wait a bit.

Don't steal music - stay away from Limewire, Ares, Bear Share and others like that - that's how Napster first got into trouble and soon enough those 3 will end up getting in trouble.

If you like live music, you can go to bt.etree.org and download incredible live shows for free and all of the featured artists are trade-friendly. It's awesome! AND I've never had a problem with viruses, malware, etc. Double awesome!

don't get free music, that will always end up in viruses. Not every time, but the odds are that it will happen eventually and then your computer will die. Allofmp3.com gives really cheap music downloads. Like 3 cents for some songs
