First you need patience. I had a friend in high school use Comet cleanser - which is really stupid.
You need patience. You need routine. Make the routine like brushing your teeth - morning and evening.
Wash your face with Ivory soap.
Get an alcohol based treatment like stridex pads. Wipe your face to clean away surface oils and prepare the skin.
Then splash water and apply the apricot scrub. This is the stage for other treatments like biore pads, or avocado peels. But gentle abrasion with a scrub is best. You are encouraging new skin to grow and pores to open to release oils and dirt.
Once you are finished scrubbing or peeling, rinse again. Apply sunscreen lotion for the day or simple lotion for the night. This last step remoisturizes your skin and replaces lost matrix that your skin cells need to grow into.
When sleeping, avoid scrunching your face. I'm not sure how to do that, but I heard it helps. Satin pillow?
Anyway, this is a recipe for general skin care throughout life. Practice it as a routine. Acne may come and go, but it will happen less and leave less damage by following this system.
Avoid popping pimples. Deal with them as you wash your face and prepare them with hot water. You'll find that the force required to pop a zit will decrease and the sebaceous debris will not "pop" out with velocity. That easy popping force is essential to prevent microdamage to your skin - a big zit pop can take years to heal and may leave a scar. Easy popping preserves the health of your skin so that it can maintain for years.
And finally, realize that you will always get some pimples. Sometimes one just pops up. Try to accept it and not focus anxiety on it's precense. When you see a pimple, calmly reaffirm your daily washing and care program and say to yourself "I'll get you pimple - you're no match for my good habits".

In order to control the rate of acne development, there are a few tips, which need to be followed. It is better advised to consume vegetables, cereals, pulses and fruits to the maximum. They are usually rich in fiber content and lack the constituents that lead to obesity. You will be on the safer side if you avoid gulping fried food, milk products, hydrogenated vegetable oils, shellfish, carbonated beverages etc. Proper intake of water is also necessary and will work out best.

well i think you should try pro active but if thats too expenssive for you then try not to touch your face at all if you need to dry off sweat then use a clean towel(your hands have lots of bacteria) also just wash your face every night before you go to bed. Try not to use oily creams on your face and try not to pop your pimpels that just cause the bacteria to spread and more will come out in its place. oh and don't put your hair in your face (you might try to hide pimples with your hair) don't !!! this can cause more pimples to come out.
