The name is from greek zoe(the e has an umlaut) pronounced zo-eh, just fyi. It means Life.
And a parent cannot mispell their childs name, they are allowed to spell/name as they wish!

They must be uneducated people. Zoe on Seasame Street is spelled the same as yours. Guess these people have never seen Seasame Street.

They are morons! Who hasn't heard of that name? or how to pronounce it. I considered Zoe as a name for my baby...but I had a boy.

My name is frequently mis-spelled by people who don't know any better-(it is not a common name you hear everyday ,therefor I won't divulge it). Keep your head up ZOE and just straighten them out when they screw up!
