I gave a bum some $$ because he said he was hungry. Instead of going to mcdonalds and getting a burger he went into the liqour store and bought 2 bottles of cheap wine.Should i spit in the dirty bums face the next time i see him or should i beat the crap out of him and put his mouth on a curb ands stomp on the back of his head until all his teeth and jaws are broken??

Consider yourself lucky you saw the act. Now just keep it in mind when it happens again.
It is the case I bet >80% of the time.
If you really want to communicate and help--- get a ready made card for a Labor Ready business in town. Give it to the bum and tell them they can work there and get paid the same day.
Honestly, they know they can make more money scamming and they will not change the habit until they begin to no longer receive the freebies from others.

I pray for them as we pass by, and ask God to please help them, if in fact they need help.
Now while My Brother was in the Hospital, My Mom, and Aunt were in town, and we were staying near the hospital. We were going to a store, and a Man that had just walked away from the intersection where He had been holding His sign up asking for money. I told My Aunt to follow Him, She was hesitant, but She did. He walked in front of the Convenience Store, and down the side, where He passed the back of a Grocery Store where an Employee was sweeping, They knew each other and spoke for a few seconds. He walked behind the row of Stores, over to a Beautiful apartment building, that had three levels. Truly one of the nicest apartments I have ever seen. He walked up two sets of stairs, to the third level, He was greeted by a Man standing in front of the door, at the railing, and went inside. Guess that is how He pays His rent, and makes His living.
They mess it up for those who really need help.

A lot of people are doing this and begging for money because they need gas or food for their family. I have had people tell me that other people will go out into the middle of intersections with buckets that say church donations for a child with cancer and they have seen these people shopping in the mall and laughing. The best thing to do is buy the person the food and give it to them instead of giving money if you want to help them .

Nah, don't hurt him. You gave him the money, and he just drank it, but c'mon... what did you expect? For him to really buy food? Some do, some don't. I know he should not have lied, but if he told the truth, nobody would give him money. At least you know you did your good deed by trying to help him. That's not your bad karma, but his.

Not much you can do w/o getting in trouble. The thing is that next time you might not give someone that $ even though he's true to you. I dunno..
