Just pick any number, like 1, for x, replace x by that number and do the subtraction to find y (you do mean y and not u, right?) and put a point on the graph at that point. If x=1 then x-2 = 1-2 = -1. So if x=1 then y=-1. Put a dot at that point and then pick another number for x, any other number at all. 2 would work. Do the subtraction again to find the y that goes with it and put another point there. Then just use a ruler to draw a line passing through both points.

it should have a positive slope. Since b is equal to -2 start at the point (0,-2) and draw a normal line with the slope of 1. Next time use a graphing calculator.
