Unfortunately there is a reason(s) why people are insecure in relationships. Usually they have been burned before. The best medicine one can take for insecurity is this. Build up your self confidence. Work on your self esteem BEFORE you allow yourself to be in a relationship. Then at least your bringing an emotionally healthy individual into the relationship. There are many books on the subject. Check in to it? But get help before you start dating. Otherwise you will bring your hang-ups to each and every relationship. And there will be many.

Insecurity is one way relationships can be destroyed. I know i would not want to be in a relationship with someone who is insecure and controlling. Isolation is a form of control, and who needs that? It is your life and you should take a firm hold of it and decided if this person is really for you.

Being insecure doesn't harm the relationship not talking to your partner about your insecurity is what harms the relationship. Whenever your with someone that you take an interest to, this person in some way is important to you, so always share your feelings. Your feeling are important to you right?

I think people cheating is the biggest destroyers of relationships.
What does insecure mean anyways? If you mean jealous, I've never been jealous, and that's probably why my ex cheated.
What is there to be insecure about? Either they're cheaters or not. The only women I've heard use the word insecure, is the cheaters(not necessarily you, but in my life).

You shouldn't be with someone who isolates you and doesn't trust you, because trust is a very important factor in a relationship. But too much trust is bad too, 'cause, face it... Things that were never supposed to happen. Happen. I mean, I wouldn't trust my girlfriend alone in a room with her ex...

If you mean insecurity as in jealousy, then I agree. I am insecure of my body, but it doesn't hurt my relationship at all.

Couldn't agree more. That's why a good many of mine failed. I have a hard time trusting after being burned a few times. I see it in my friends too.
