It's great that you want to go with a natural solution. There's usually no good reason to use dangerous toxins in order to rid your plants of pests.
Have you tried just blasting the trees with plain water? Sometimes, depending on the type of insect, that's enough to get them to pack their bags and move on. If that doesn't work, horticultural oil sprays are highly effective and totally non-toxic. You can either mix the oil with water yourself, according to the directions on the label, or you can buy it pre-mixed. Bioneem Insecticide is one brand, and Organocide is another. They are both safe for citrus, and they are rated for use by organic gardeners. Good luck!

Hi, will funny you are asking this question. Just had the same thing happen to me. This is what I did. I didn't have a sprayer so I emptied a spray cleaning bottle. Then I went to Wal-Mart and got some ...... 7.... That is what it is called... SEVEN..... it is safe. I put a teaspoon in my bottle and mixed the rest with water. Then sprayed it on the leaves and covered them until they were wet. The fruit is fine to eat in 24 hours,,, washed too. Those bugs will get you if you let them.....LOL

Jerry Baker is a great organic gardener. He's got mixtures for every bug or critter that could possibly get into your garden. Head to the library and get a Jerry Baker book! You can also go to JerryBaker.com to see if they have anything listed online. I didn't see anything for the kind of bugs you have, but surf around there!
