i'll tell you the truth man. all these people are just answering for points. but seriously he is a big talent out of uconn. a high flyin dunker. i know him enough to answer this question. he will be as good as t-mac if not better. hes built just like him and he is starting with a team that isnt all that good but will be next year. he is a great player and everyone will see that he is no joke and could be a contendor for rookie of the year

why would someone answer this question if they dont have a clue..i personally dont think he will be a t-mac type...t-mac is a proven talent and though rudy gay definitely plays a good game..its hard to tell if he is going to be an impact at the nba level..though t-mac sitll hasnt won it all..but its kinda a dan marino comparison..two great guys that havent won..and to me rudy gay is like a reggie bush..great players..but its soon time to put up or shut up..though i wish i was rich like them haha

haha. Im a big rockets fan, and I just went BALLISTIC, when i was watching the draft and they traded both rudy gay and stromile swift for shane battier. I was looking foward for rudy gay playing with t-mac. But no, they traded a prospect to their rivals.But i say he is going to be explosive like a Dwyane Wade, but not as good as a Lebron James.

I think he will have his own style
I thought he was gonna go higher in the drapht like to the bobcats r sumthing
I was kinda upset when they traded him (B4 they even picked him) But if he has a bad attitude I guess van gundy didn't want to deal with him.
Battie has a chip on his shoulder now

Well i am a diehard UCONN HUSKIES fan and i will tell u that this kid has AMAZING talent and an awful attitude the intensity and desire just isnt there and it is a shame a kid with his talent has an attitude like that if he has a good coach that can straighten him out he will be amazing if not i am afraid that his talent will be wasted and he will just be an average ball player.

the best player from this draft in a couple of years. Freakishly athletic and tmac like. Houston is will regret this trade in a couple of years

I dont really see him on T-Macs level although he is nice. I see him as more of an offensive player especially his perimeter shooting, rather than defense where as T Mac is alround solid.
