First, measure the bottom of the leg. Example: 1 inch by 1 inch etc. Second, you multiply side a times side b(side a and b should be adjoining sides(touching). If all four sides are the same multiply one side by itself.example: BOY, this gets sorta complicated when I don't know the shape of the legs. anyway, you get the idea, if it's L shaped then do it in two steps(do each side) then add the two together. when you get that answer THEN you multiply by 4 to get the total square inches(you reallly need square inches)

Nest: divide 400 by the combined square inches. this will give you the pounds per square inch. If you need pounds per square foot the you would divide your square inch answer by 144(there are 144 square inches in ONE swuare foot) hope this helps
