Would you kill your child if you knew for sure that he/she will grow up and be the cause of death for millions of people? Remember, you know for sure and he/she cannot be changed.

good question. we kill people every day to prevent more deaths so in that way yes. but you also make it your child which makes it difficult to decide it comes down to how selfish you are, are you willing to go through terrible pain so others don't have to. I would rather prevent others the pain and take on the burden myself so yes i would kill my own child.

every one else is putting in what ifs, make the decision based only on the facts your given. what would killing yourself help, you people are just running from the problem at hand.

This is kinda the dilema in the movie the omen now that i think of it.

well if u know he or she cannot be changed, and you know that child would be the cause of death for millions of people, then it's actually ur fault too if millions died....i think yes..i would have to..
:(...because it's not fair to kill millions of others so i could selfishly raise mine to murder.

**this question is totally unrealistic, so i am answering this in an unrealistic way. everyone's baby has the potential to be murderers, but just as much potential to be saints. u can't and will never know what will happen, so u have to answer "in context" of the question.

I am pro abortion.

I would not kill my child. You did not say HOW this child would cause the death of millions. For all I know my kid knocked over a terrorist with a rare form of small pox in his hands and it burst all over the sidewalk. Is it my child's fault the terrorist was going to kill everyone anyway?

No one deserves to die. Just as no one can tell me what to do with my own body!! PRO CHOICE!!! CHOOSE LIFE!

That depends. Maybe millions of people dying would overall make the timeline that humanity follows better. I disagree, there is no way to "know for sure". The future can always be changed.

Weighing the life of one child to that of million of people logically makes sense. But in killing the child, wouldn't you be participating in the killing? No, I wouldn't kill the child.

No. The death of millions of people is difficult to comprehend; the life of my child is.

I would not kill the child - it would serve a good purpose: exterminating of a lot of stupid people. Unfortunately some clever ones will die too. But hey, who cares, someone has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Killing is never a solution. Its pointless!

I'd rather let the child grow up to be what he is meant to be than snip the bud before it actually blooms. Someday he'd pay for the deeds. There is a purpose for us all.

No. If my child is destined to eventually cause so many deaths, then there is no reason for me to involve myself in his/her fate. Unless, of course, my fate is to kill my child. In which case, the answer is Yes. :)
