There are TONs of commercial auditions. The trick is to be seen by the casting director. If you don't have an agent and not in the union then it's pretty slim chance. Anyway you can try submitting yourself.

Buy a copy of the newspaper Backstage, you should be able to find it in New Jersey, if not, you can get it in Manhattan, the magazine and newstands on 42nd Street sell it.

Ask your acting teacher if she knows of any auditions, or, talk to your talent agent about auditions submissions.
