You don't really pay to 'receive' calls, but it works by minutes. Is your phone pre-paid or did you sign a contract for service? If it is the latter, then any calls from a verizon phone to another verizon phone is free, any calls from 9pm to 6am are free, and any weekend calls are free. Otherwise, it counts towards your total minute allowance.
You can go to http://www.verizonwireless.com for a lot more info if you need it.

Yes. You pay per minute no matter what.
However, most Verizon wireless plans have unlimited mobile-to-mobile, in which any call to or from another Verizon wireless user would be free.

It depends on who calls you. If they're a Verizon customer it counts as "In Calling" which is free". Also if the call is after 9 P.M. or on the weekends it's free. So if the person is a non-Verizon customer who calls you from early morning (6 maybe?) to 9 P.M. on a weekday the call comes from your minutes.

for a lot of cell plans you do use up your minutes no matter who calls who. if you wanted to get free incomming calls you should have went with sprint. they are the only cell company that I know of that has free incomming calls. Verizon has this thing called IN calling whick doesnt mean incomming calls it means that if you are IN (have a verizon phone) then you can call other IN people for free and if they call you then you arent using your minutes either.

I stay approximately thirty miles from the closest Verizon keep. I definitely have been a VZW shopper for many, some years and my final 3 telephones I ordered on line. you're precise...I do seem to word a bigger reductions on telephones and kit while procuring on line. you apart from could don't have those extreme-rigidity revenues human beings attempting to sell you some thing you're uncertain of, or hurry you out and in the door like on the keep I definitely have been to. additionally, procuring on line you could take a while, bypass returned and look at telephones persistently and over! you in basic terms purchase once you're arranged. the information superhighway internet site many times provides shopper scores and comments from human beings who very own the telephone(s) you have an pastime in! when I ordered a telephone on line and it hid a minor "glitch". I took it returned to the keep and it grew to become into repaired and return to me instantaneous! so a techniques, i've got not had to return a telephone by ability of ability of mail that i've got offered on line. i think of you will adore your on line procuring adventure.
