This kind of logic will only work in a physics class - and NOT in the courtroom! When you walk down the aisle of a jetliner doing 550 MPH, are you walking 552 MPH? Of course not - at least relative to the plane, anyway. You could make the argument that if you're traveling the same direction as the earth's rotation, 35 MPH (relative to the road) you're actually traveling approximately 25,035 MPH relative to an imaginary stationary point in space. It still won't get your ticket suspended...........

Speed limit signs are not suggested baselines they are traffic laws.And speeding would get you a ticket. In this case the govt doesn't let you interpret the relativity of speed it just tell you so.

Speed is relative when you compare it to something. The speed limit signs are stationary. Hence, relative to the signs, you are over the speed limit.
